Love

So many songs written about this WORD of the day.  LOVE.  Romantic love, parental love, a friends love, and best of all God's Love.  These are all EASY LOVES.  They are a given.  An absolute.  Hopefully anyway.

What about the LOVE from an enemy?  Have you ever had an enemy that loved YOU?  But you still hated them?  Have you ever loved an enemy?  Whew.  

Jesus says in Luke 6:27-28 " Love your enemies, love those who curse you, love those who speak against you and Pray for those who hate you!"  (Several versions included)

Well I sure have failed this command a bunch, anybody else.  It was just reminder to me today when faced with drastic opposition, and hurtful words, to LOVE.  Walk away and pray for those who are hurtful.  I didn't do this right away, it took some time for me to lean on God and claim HE is in control of THIS situation, it's not about me, or me that is the problem.

Thank you God for your Grace today, for mercies that are new every morning and for your constant, FAITHFUL LOVE for me when my flesh fails.

LOVE. Deep Breath In.... Look around, God's loving you today for no reason, so go do the same for someone else.
